Meet Alexandria

It's so nice to meet you. I'm Alexandria and I would be honored to walk with you on this journey to being the most full and authentic version of yourself. Maybe you're single, or you're dealing with issues as a couple. You might be pretty well-versed in some mental health terms already and you might even have an understanding of where some of your struggles come from. But despite that, you're struggling to put it all together to make change and be the person you've always wanted to be. And that's where I can help!

I received my Bachelor’s in Sociology and Africana Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, and my Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in Health and Behavioral Health from the University of Houston. I’m also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I entered the field because of the resistance towards mental health treatment I saw growing up as well as the lack of actual access to treatment for people who wanted it. I firmly believe that everyone should have the tools they need to live a fulfilling life and find freedom, no matter what that looks like to them. In my work, I meet you where you are and validate your authority over your experiences and desires.

I fully recognize that our mental health is influenced by our experiences with racism, sexism, homo/transphobia, and classism and that without an introspective counselor, therapy can be influenced by them as well. Further, I’m acutely aware of how subconscious bias and fear of social rejection can keep us from seeking help.
